EnvironmentalCrossing is an affiliate of EmploymentCrossing, a job-opening research company dedicated to helping professionals in almost 100 fields find success in their careers. EmploymentCrossing is an offshoot of the realization of a career goal for founder and CEO, A. Harrison Barnes. As an attorney, he became both fascinated and frustrated with the legal recruiting system. After having gone through the job-search process himself, he determined that the main problem was a lack of a central source where professionals could go to find a position. So his career goal became to find attorneys jobs. He started a recruiting firm, BCG Attorney Search, and successfully and consistently amassed the largest and most complete list of positions. He then started Legal Authority, a less exclusive service that offers job seekers access to all of the legal employers in specific regions. Due to the high cost of such a service, however, Barnes wanted to go one step further to give every job seeker in the legal industry the resources to find a job. That's where he got the idea for LawCrossing, an affordable database that showcases all of the jobs available for the legal industry from employer career webpages, job boards, and newspaper classified ads. Seeing that LawCrossing was a success, Barnes expanded with EmploymentCrossing and its affiliate sites, including EnvironmentalCrossing. The aim of EnvironmentalCrossing is to find people jobs and provide them with information to advance their careers in the environmental industry.
Unlike most job-board sites, we do not charge employers to post position openings with us. Instead, we seek out environmental jobs in newspapers, on company websites, and on other job boards to ensure that our members have access to every available position. Members pay a small monthly fee for exclusive access to our listings, in addition to articles and videos on the latest environmental industry news, career advice, job profiles, market reports, and profiles of successful environmental industry professionals. EnvironmentalCrossing also does not keep members' resumes on file. This is because our purpose is not to sell resumes to employers. Instead, it is to help environmental industry professionals achieve success in their careers by providing them with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to find the right job.

We monitor their websites, we monitor other job boards—we do whatever it takes to provide you with every quality job that matches your interests that we can find.
You can trust EnvironmentalCrossing because we work for you—the job seeker—and not employers or recruiters. Our job is to find you job openings that match your needs, not to sell job ads.
