AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Sustainability Consultant. This position will assist the Leader in various capacities within the company's broader sustainability practice The successful candidate will support the project managers with project support and client deliverables in areas including, but not limited to: BREEAM, low and zero carbon assessments, energy modeling, sustainability inventories, corporate sustainability services, and other rating system consulting, sustainability reporting, policy development, performance indicator and metrics development, stakeholder engagement, and task and project management.
Work with other AECOM discipline groups to incorporate findings and ensure sustainability is adequately integrated into project delivery.
Carry our BREEAM assessments
Provide energy modelling for projects using IES or other software including SBEM calculations.
Provide low and zero energy assessments and reports
Compile environmental, social, and economic data for public and private sector organizations
Organize data and information in spreadsheets, software and other means
Support projects involving program development and reporting
Support design, engineering, and construction teams on green building projects
Research sustainability topics, including client, industry, market, and regulatory drivers, market studies, as well as stakeholder concerns and incorporate findings into projects and client briefings
Research and review latest sustainability guidelines
Undertake mechanical services design including calculations, drawings and specifications
Inspect and audit existing services installation
Manage project tasks and manage smaller projects, by eventually becoming a Certified Project Manager
Join the broader AECOM sustainability practice, network with colleagues, and engage other internal project opportunities
Specific Skills Required:
Experience of BREEAM assessments including the use of Tracker Plus
Use of IES, Bentley Hevacomp or other energy modelling software
Completion of SBEM Calculations
Provision of Energy Audits
Use of Autocad software
CIBSE Low Carbon Energy Assessor
Professional experience in sustainability consulting, management, green building consulting or other related experience in the consulting industry and/or private or public sector.
Experience in the use of Revit would be desirable.
Certified Air Conditioning Inspector would be desirable
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Building Services or related field
Certified BREEAM assessor.
