AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Environmental Engineer or Scientist for employment in the Air Quality Department of the Greenville, SC office. Job activities are generally aligned with permitting, compliance and consulting services to our Industrial client sector for a wide variety of clients located throughout the Southeast. Responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:
Working in teams and performing tasks for projects involving air quality-related environmental compliance services
Tasks include creating spreadsheets, compiling and analyzing environmental data, calculating air emissions, developing/updating permit compliance tracking tools, assisting with preparation of air permit applications, and writing technical reports and other documents
Perform air quality related environmental tasks for clients in government and industry, as assigned by AECOM project managers
Analyze available information to help develop strategies to successfully complete each assigned task
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or Science, Paper Engineering, or Related Engineering **or** Scientific Field.
Must be able to understand process flow diagrams and determine data needed to complete project calculations
Must be able to proficiently use PC- based applications (e.g., MS Word and Excel)
Must be highly motivated and have: (1) Strong organizational and time management skills, (2) Strong written and oral communication, quantitative, and interpersonal skills, (3) Strong work ethic and professional demeanor, (4) Attention to Detail
Demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude and attention to detail/ownership of work products
Must have good teamwork skills but also be able to function independently on specific tasks
Must have a valid driver's license
Periodic travel may be required
Co-op or internship experience in an industrial or regulatory agency setting is beneficial
