HDR is seeking a Senior Transit Project Manager to help expand our services in the Western U.S, with a focus on local government and transit agencies in Colorado.
The individual in this position plans, directs and monitors all aspects of large and medium multi-disciplinary transit planning projects that may include:
· Local and regional transit plans;
· Transportation planning reports;
· Transit studies;
· Roadway corridor studies;
· Commuter/high speed rail corridor studies; and
· Environmental documents.
The individual in this position will be a key member of the HDR Colorado Transportation business group, and will be responsible for the pursuit and management of major transit planning projects. The position will involve high profile project pursuits involving extensive client interactions. The ability to establish client relationships in the market are critical. The person in this position directs the work of others in the completion of required studies, documents and reports. Extensive public participation, agency coordination, planning and programming experience is required. The person in this position leads scope development and execution in conjunction with appropriate technical professionals in multiple transportation and environmental disciplines. They are responsible to coordinate project staffing and workload management on transportation (particularly transit) planning projects. They are responsible for active participation in APTA committees, RailVolution, and the American Planning Association.
· Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
· Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience including transit planning projects and programs.
· Experience in preparing transportation plans, corridor plans, transit studies and similar plans/reports; preferably for state/local governments.
· Well developed analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
· Experience with NEPA/CEQA and FTA New Starts/Small Starts requirements.
Professional registration such as AICP, PE, PMP a plus.
