We are seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager to join our Northern California Environmental Team.
This individual should be a seller/doer, with outstanding CEQA, NEPA, and regulatory technical skills. We are looking for a strong PM with a thorough understanding and experience both supporting and managing water infrastructure projects for California water agencies. Candidate must be able to work closely with our team and clients and think strategically about to review, clear, and complete the compliance requirements of large and complex water projects. Individual will be a technical advisor to our key clients, a cross-sector resource for developing environmental work in each of our water, transportation, and resources business groups, and a leader and mentor for the Northern California environmental team. The position is intended to support the continued and long-term growth of the Northern California environmental team and might serve as a staff manager. Ideal candidate will have 15-20 years of experience supporting and managing water infrastructure projects for state water agencies. This candidate must be highly collaborative in all functions and proficient in scope development, budget and schedule tracking. An understanding of the CA regulatory environment and ability to negotiate regulatory strategy is a plus. Strong staff management and business development proficiency also a plus. ','!*!Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science or closely related field
• At least 12 years experience in environmental planning/NEPA
• Proven experience managing the NEPA process for transportation projects
• Experience with NEPA projects for other types of projects, in addition to transportation projects, is a plus
• Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills
• Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving and research skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
• Demonstrated knowledge of NEPA and the environmental process is strongly
• Experience managing EA/EIS projects
