Committed to the success of our clients and the communities in which we operate, we have an ongoing requirement for high-calibre professionals to join our connected network.\r\r\rGHD has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Environmental Planner who can be based from any of our San Francisco Bay or Sacramento area offices.\r\r\rESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\r\rGeneral\r\r\rPrepares and manages CEQA documents, including MNDs and EIRs, for a variety of infrastructure, utility, water resource, and land development projects. \rPrepares and manages environmental reviews following the Caltrans Local Assistance Procedures Manual, as well as NEPA documents, including EAs and EISs, for other Federal agencies and Federally funded projects. \rManages resource agency permit applications with the U.S. Army Corps, Regional Water Board, California Department of Fish and Wildlife, and other agencies \rOversees client management and business development, including preparation of proposals, statements of qualifications, and overall business development with clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.Peer reviews CEQA and NEPA documentation as part of Quality Assurance/Quality Control process. \rUnderstands and determines the applicability of relevant local, state and federal government regulations on an individual project basis. \rInterfaces with internal and external clients, including attending proposal interviews, public meetings, scoping meetings, and agency coordination meetings. \r\r\rQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: \r\r\rBS/BA in Planning, Environmental Studies, Biology, Geography, Natural Resources, or other related field. \rMinimum of 10 years’ experience providing most or all of essential duties and responsibilities noted above. \rGood verbal and written communication skills. \rStrong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills. \rStrong work ethic and ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously. \rProficient with MS Office Suite and Internet research applications. \rStatistical knowledge and ability to apply such knowledge in practical solutions.\rAs a multicultural organization, we encourage individual achievement and recognize the strength of a diverse workforce.
