Job Description:
The Department of Biological and Physical Sciences at Assumption University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Environmental Chemistry at the Assistant Professor rank, to begin in August 2023. The primary teaching responsibility for this position will be Environmental Chemistry and General Chemistry. The successful applicant will also support the environmental science program through advising, support for undergraduate research, and curriculum development. Additional teaching responsibilities may include Environmental Science Seminar, Introduction to Environmental Science, and Everyday Chemistry. Candidates with experience in environmental engineering are also welcome to apply.
The standard teaching load is seven courses per academic year. All candidates are expected to show a commitment to high-quality undergraduate teaching and mentoring, research, and service.
Requirements:
* Ph.D. in Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, or a related field required, or anticipated by Fall 2023;
* Applicants must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the University, including its commitment to diversity and inclusion as well as showing respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity;
* Vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19, required.
