Eagle Eye Electric (EEE) is seeking resumes for an Environmental Program Manager
. An Environmental Program Manager is a senior level specialist who coordinates the management of an organization’s environmental performance.
The Environmental Program Manager must be able to identify and resolve environmental problems from a holistic perspective, acknowledging that the political, social, legal and economic aspects of issues are as important as those pertaining to science and technology. This position is expected to act as an official representative of the corporation to various clients. An important element of the role is to provide leadership and training to staff at all levels to ensure that all members of the workforce recognize their own contribution and improve performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Developing environmental strategies that meet the goals of the client in a sustainable manner.;
Leading the implementation of environmental policies and practices;
Coordinating all aspects of resource use, pollution reduction, waste management, environmental health, risk assessment and employee involvement;
Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation;
Auditing and reporting on environmental performance to internal and external clients and regulatory bodies;
Keeping abreast of environmental legislation and good practice;
Raising awareness, at all levels of an organization, of the impact of emerging environmental issues, whether legislative or best practice, on corporate, ethical and social responsibility;
Managing the development and implementation of an environmental management system;
Coordinating public hearings and consultations on environmental matters;
Managing relations with other senior management and internal staff;
Training staff at all levels in environmental issues and responsibilities;
Participating in environmental education and research;
Developing and implementing marketing and sales strategies for environmental goods and services;
Developing business opportunities;
Managing a diverse group of engineers, scientists and technologists;
Reviewing environmental reports;
Maintaining regular contact with regulatory bodies;
Combining environmental management with other regulatory responsibilities, such as quality and safety

Job Requirements :
Required (Mandatory Qualifications):
Bachelor’s Degree in sciences and/or engineering
Current 40 hour HAZWOPPER
Individual should have overall management history with multiple staff and experience for annual revenues in excess of $20 mil
Fifteen plus (15 ) years’ experience in environmental remediation and investigation activities
Professional licensing in Engineering or the Sciences
Experience working with multiple Federal agencies
Ability to perform technical reviews of data and plans
Ability to grow environmental business and add new clientele
Strong communication skills
Multiple years’ experience estimating environmental projects.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Have experience and expertise with contracts for environmental remediation
Have the ability to manage and perform simultaneous clean-up activities at five (5) or more remote Alaska locations
Have performed a minimum of three (3) projects between $5M-$10M
Have worked in Alaska for three (3) years
Have worked with Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) for three (3) years
Have utilized the Hydro-Carbon Risk calculator for one (1) year
Have experience investigating petroleum spills for three (3) years
Have been located in Alaska for two (2) of the last five (5) year.
Preferred:
Master’s Degree in related field preferred.
Twelve (12) years of professional environmental experience with a strong knowledge of Environmental regulations and some Health and Safety regulatory knowledge

The ability to properly use personnel protective equipment (PPE) including the required use at all times of hard hats, steel toed boots, eye protection, and hearing protection..
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is often performed in office settings. Outdoor work is required in the inspection of various land use developments or remediation sites.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places, and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risks of electrical shock and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but can be loud at times when operating equipment.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Hires and supervises direct reports.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
