Other duties may be assigned. \u2022 Coordinate with environmental consulting firms for site assessment and cleanup of several fuels contaminated sites. \u2022 Write and maintain compliance with Oil Spill Contingency plan for facilities as per ADEC, EPA, and Coast Guard regulations. This includes ensuring facility maintenance, inspections, personnel training, and spill response drills comply with regulations and are properly documented. \u2022 Write and maintain compliance with Emergency Action Plan for facilities as required by Federal and State OSHA. \u2022 Write and ensure compliance with Operations and Maintenance Manual for Cross-Town Pipeline as required by DOT Office of Pipeline Safety. \u2022 Write and ensure compliance with NPDES permitting requirements for airport facilities. Ensure compliance with Port MPDES permit. \u2022 Ensure compliance with regulations for disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes. \u2022 Ensure compliance with Hazardous Communications regulations. This includes providing occasional training to supplement training given by Fueling Trainer and maintaining and updating HAZCOM manual and MSDS binders. \u2022 Ensure compliance with all \u201cenvironmental\u201d regulations pertaining to facilities and operations. \u2022 Is able to the Station\u2019s attendance standards. EDUCATION and\/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor\u2019s degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university in environmental safety, engineering, or the sciences of environmental studies. Experience in the aviation industry is preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to qualifications from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to effectively communicate verbally both down line to each base location and up line to top-level management MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
