WSP is currently initiating a search for a Northern California Senior Regional Environmental Manager for our Oakland, CA office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Experience in achieving environmental clearances with the USDOT, other federal and state agencies as the environmental project manager.
The Senior Regional Environmental Manager will work closely with the Authority and environmental program managers to provide assistance with environmental compliance and documentation expertise for a fast-paced, high-speed rail project.
The Senior Regional Environmental Manager partners with regional project delivery teams including project managers, environmental task managers and outreach managers to provide for informed project decisions and facilitate quality environmental document delivery with consistency in approach across the overall HSR program.
The Senior Regional Environmental Manager is responsible for CEQA and NEPA document review, comment and approval, prior to recommending its compliance with CEQA, NEPA and other related environmental laws and guidelines.

Minimum 10 years in progressively responsible relevant experience.
Master's Degree in Environmental Planning or a closely related field.
Excellent project management skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to critically review multi-disciplinary environmental documents and reports.
Experience in public outreach and stakeholder engagement.
