**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is seeking a Process Engineer to drive process improvements with a focus on material handling and air quality control equipment at our secondary lead smelter facility in Boss, MO. This position will report through the Environmental Services department, but will work closely with plant operations & maintenance to minimize facility impact to land, air, and water, increase air quality control efficiency & safety while limiting environmental impact.
Define and optimize process limits giving consideration to safety, quality, & the environment
Supervise Yard/Scrubber/Baghouse activities and personnel
Project management of scrubber, baghouse, and ventilation improvement
Identify and direct maintenance and capital improvements for optimal performance
Be familiar with environmental regulations and standards, and ensure that you are meeting all applicable standards
Identify, develop and implement necessary Operation and Maintenance procedures
Identify root causes and recommend appropriate, proactive corrective actions
Develop and implement necessary SOPs
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering ,Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
A minimum of 3 years hands-on work experience in a manufacturing environment with a proven track record of measurable results
Air Pollution Control experience is highly preferred
Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and critical thinking skills
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must possess the ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Supervisory experience preferred
Project Management experience
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, and Outlook; Microsoft Access a plus
Knowledge of RCRA and the Clean Air Act and /or other environmental laws a plus
Familiarity with ISO Standards a plus
Duties will require the use of company provided personal protective equipment including but not limited to: a respirator, coveralls, and metatarsal guard boots.
