Pick up dirty linen, wash and dry linens, sort, fold linens and deliver to proper areas of hospital.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Assembles necessary cleaning supplies and equipment and transports to designated work area.
Cleans assigned areas in accordance with accreditation and industry standards.  Tasks include cleaning, vacuuming, scrubbing, mopping and other tasks as directed.
Cleans and maintains equipment.
Maintains good relationships with patients, visitors, co-workers, and staff.
Plans and utilizes time well.
Uses initiative in performing duties.
Demonstrates professional attitude and behavior by maintaining acceptable work habits including, but not limited to, dependability, punctuality, and appropriate dress.
Maintains strict confidentiality regarding patient, employee, and hospital matters.
Washing of linen.
Operate washers and dryers using correct cycle and proper load.
Rough dry and folding of linens.
Linen distribution to appropriate department’s and work area’s.
Maintain proper supply of linens in storage area’s making adjustments for patient census and department activity.
Routine cleaning of  laundry equipment and department as necessary.
Adheres to all policies.
Ensure accreditation standards are met.
Other duties as assigned.','!*!QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to consistently meet the department work schedule.
Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing and be able to follow instructions.
