Environmental Consultant Jobs description
An environmental consultant works on commercial contracts to address a variety of environmental issues for their clients. Environmental consultants consult on a wide range of disciplines such as assessment of air, land, and water contamination, environmental impact assessment, environmental audit, and waste management. They also consult on the development of environmental policy and development of environmental management systems. The environmental sector continues to expand in response to a mix of regulation, corporate risk, and reputation management with regards to the environmental consultants. Environmental consultants operate in a very commercial environment and senior staff may be required to help attract future clients for the business. Typical work activities include conducting field surveys similar to collecting data to establish a baseline condition for levels of pollution and data interpretation which includes detailed assessment of data, often using software modeling packages, to identify whether \\\'contamination\\\' exists in accordance with legislative drivers.The job candidate should at least be a graduate in relevant degree subjects which include biological sciences, environmental and earth sciences, chemical and physical sciences, and urban and land studies. He should have a sound experience of more than two years at least.
