This role:
We currently have the following vacancy for a solicitor to join our Planning & Environmental Law team
, based in Reading
, with hybrid working.
Solicitor (NQ - 2 years' PQE)
You will work on a broad range of matters, ranging in size and including residential developments, planning appeals and enforcement appeals, planning appraisals, planning obligations and environmental matters including CPO and highways advice,. We are regularly instructed by clients including, landowners, developers, SMEs and large family or owner-managed businesses, charities, universities and schools, property investors, and financiers, as well as and private individuals, on a wide range of planning and environmental matters.

This role will assist with administrative support, as below.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing an agreed caseload of clients in conjunction with the Department Manager
Processing clients’ cases on a timely and cost effective basis
Maintaining the highest professional standards in accordance with the firm’s objectives and comply with the firm’s quality standards
Keeping clients fully informed of the range of services that the firm offers
The successful candidate will:
Have at least a 2.1 degree
Have completed training at a recognised and respected firm, a local planning authority or other public body
Be enthusiastic and hard working
Have good written and verbal communication skills
Be a team player
Share and embody our values of excellence, integrity and approachability
