This role:
We currently have the following vacancy for a senior solicitor to join our Planning & Environmental Law team
, based in Reading
Senior Planning Solicitor (5 years’ PQE)
You will work on a broad range of matters, ranging in size and including residential developments, planning appeals and enforcement appeals, planning appraisals, planning obligations and environmental matters including CPO and highways advice, offering an end to end service for landowners and developers. We are regularly instructed by clients including, property developers, charities, education providers, property investors, and financiers, businesses of all shapes and sizes and private individuals on a wide range of planning and environmental matters.

Key responsibilities include:
Managing an agreed caseload of clients in conjunction with the Department Manager
Processing clients’ cases on a timely and cost effective basis
Maintaining the highest professional standards in accordance with the firm’s objectives and comply with the firm’s quality standards
Keeping clients fully informed of the range of services that the firm offers
Supervising junior staff, particularly trainees, from time to time
The successful candidate will:
Have at least a 2.1 degree
Have completed training at a recognised and respected firm, a local planning authority or other public body
Be enthusiastic and hard working
Have good written and verbal communication skills
Be a team player and reputable
